Are boat docks available ?

Yes. When approved by the U.S. Corps of Engineers.  Boat Slips will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.

Will the cabins be on septic ?

No.  Lost Rock will have its own decentralized waste water system.

Will I have to drill a well for water?

No.  Lost Rock will be connected to Pine Top Water Authority.

Can I rent my cabin?

Yes.  Renting cabins will be allowed.  We will have strict rules about rental but we feel by renting cabins it creates more activity and therefore a lively environment.  We will also have a section on the web site to help market your cabin as a rental.

Who will build the cabins ?

You will be able to pick from a list of approved builders or submit your builder's resume.  To keep the integrity of the cabins, we will be very selective about the choice of contractors.

Do I have to use one of the prototypes?

No.  The prototypes are absolutely available to use and we feel they respond to environment at Lost Rock, but the prototypes were designed to help develop the architectural philosophy of materials, palette and how to address the specific landscape of each lot.

Do I have to use one of the three architects?

We do not require that you use one of our architects but these architects have the spent the last year studying the topography, the land plan, the climate and wind patterns and have developed specific approaches to solving design challenges for Lost Rock.  All of these architects have outstanding reputations and we feel confident in their abilities.  If you would like to use another architect, we would have to approve them based on their past portfolio and design philosophy.  We do not feel that every architect is capable of designing at Lost Rock.

When will lots be available to purchase ?

You will be required to close on your lot 30 days after final plat.  We anticipate final plats to be approval August 1st, 2008.

Is there a build-out requirement ?

No.

If I own a lot, but have not built my cabin, can I use the amenities ?

Yes.  In fact we will encourage as much use as possible.  We want Lost Rock to be an active community.
