Lean Cabin

Designed for woodland hill sites, the home’s form derives from a response to the steeply sloping terrain. Interior spaces look onto heavily wooded areas and face the central meadow below. Separated bedroom suites with adjacent baths are laid out at each end of the 1050 SF (conditioned space) plan. The living room, central to the layout, has a high-efficient fireplace. Another outdoor fireplace opens onto the central screened porch which is the heart of the house. From there, stairs lead down to an open terrace that is on grade. There is an enclosed storage space for ATV’s and gear off the entry side.
